I was really bored this weekend, didnt have anything planned. That is one whole weekend wasted, they should someting that SETI but for humans, so we can use up all those idle hours.

Eclipse Trader from behind a proxy

I was having a look at eclipsetrader 0.24 and eclipsetrader 0.25 and it seems to have a problem connecting to the news services and getting the Level II feed when running the application from behing a firewall.
On having a look at the code it seems that it doest use the proxy settings at all, well at least not for getting the Level II feeds. If I get some time over this week I will try and fix that.

I was supposed to try out DOJO in this post, but I cant seem to get it running because the java script is hosted on a different server from this one.

dojo, the Javascript Toolkit

A while back I was looking into Java script that provided dragable components, and have a look at DOJO Toolkit. It is really a very nice toolkit. I am planning to add a couple of examples to my blog in a couple of days.
I really like the Fisheye control also the easy with which you can create Floating Panes (Windows), Editors, Trees etc.
I havent tried out the RCP functionality, I was also looking int YAhoo UI Toolkit and Google Web Toolkit, I am looking for someone to provide a nice compare of these toolkits.

Finally got EclipseTrader source code compile and working off Callisto

I finally managed to get the eclipsetrader 0.24 source code to work in eclipse - callisto. First I had such a problem setting up callisto, I managed to get the base but i just couldnt download all the other plugins and stuff that was really bad.
Then I just coudlnt run the eclipse plugin, it just would not run, it kept saying that it couldnt get application id, i had a look at the config and that application id did match, then I realized that certain plugins were not included when running the application -- Eclispe can be a pain at times.
